Preservation Austin is proud to present our 2025 Homes Tour! This year’s homes embody Austin’s remarkable heritage, showcasing diverse architectural eras and cultural histories. Ours is the only tour of its kind to connect Austinites to historic spaces and stunning design in such powerful and personal ways. On Saturday, April 26, we’ll feature five charming homes across Austin and on Sunday, April 27, five other lovely homes around town will be on display. Homes will be open from 10 am - 5 pm each day.

The annual Homes Tour is Preservation Austin’s marquee event and most important fundraiser. All proceeds, including ticket sales and sponsorships, support our advocacy efforts and educational programming year-round. Please join us for this incredible showcase of community heritage, style, and sustainability!

Tickets

STANDARD IN-PERSON (April 26 - 27 cash/check/charge): $40 for Preservation Austin members, $50 for non-members

Preservation Austin members must log into their member portal below to receive discounted tickets. Discounts are automatically applied during checkout. Interested in getting free or discounted tickets? Join as a member today!

We are unable to issue refunds for tickets. If you would like to transfer your ticket, simply let your guest know to check in under the name of the ticket purchaser.


Tour Information

See below for maps, addresses, and dates for homes featured on this year’s tour. Please note that homes will not be open both days of the weekend.

CHECK-IN

If you have already purchased tickets you may check in and receive your wristband at any of the featured homes. Additional tickets may be purchased at any of the featured homes. Check in any time during the tour, from 10 am to 5 pm. Your name will be on our list, no printed tickets are required. 

We are unable to issue refunds for tickets. If you would like to transfer your ticket, simply let your guest know to check in under the name of the ticket purchaser.

This year’s tour is set to be our most popular yet! Please be respectful of neighbors and patient with parking as you navigate between the featured homes.

PLEASE NOTE:

  • The Homes Tour will be held rain or shine.

  • Featured homes are not ADA-accessible. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience.

  • Bathrooms at the featured homes will not be available during the tour. We encourage tour-goers to support local nearby businesses and use their facilities as you travel between the featured homes.

Saturday parking considerations:

Many streets near 1118 W. 7th Street are restricted to residential parking permits. It may be possible to find open parking on Blanco Street and 10th Street.

The featured homes on Bluebonnet Lane and Virginia Avenue are just a 10-minute walk apart. Park in the lovely Zilker neighborhood and walk between the two!

Sunday parking considerations:

Many streets near 1701 San Gabriel Street are restricted to residential parking permits. It may be possible to find open parking on West Avenue.


Free Walking Tour | Legacy of John S. Chase, FAIA, NOMAC | Saturday, April 26

This free walking tour led by UT Austin professor Dr. Tara A. Dudley honors the legacy of pioneering Black architect John S. Chase, FAIA, NOMAC as Austin celebrates the 100th anniversary of his birth. Learn about East Austin’s Keystone Addition, featuring homes built by Lott Construction Co. where Chase was a draftsman before and during his studies at the University of Texas. About the Homes Tour

Preservation Austin debuted our spring Homes Tour in 1993 in celebration of our nonprofit's 40th birthday. This is our largest event of the year and champions diverse histories citywide to honor the contributions of all those who made Austin what it is today. Learn more about past Homes Tours here.
